Thanks for taking time to visit my “woofsite”! My name is Joanne Byrne and I am the owner of Something to Bark About.
My original career was as a Social Worker in the criminal justice system. During the years I worked in that profession, I spent many an hour dreaming about how I’d love to work with animals. After 22 years, I finally decided there was no reason I couldn’t make a bit of my daydreaming a reality. I took on some part time work as pet sitter for an existing company. Once I got a taste of my dream job, there was no stopping me! It wasn’t long before I said goodbye to Social Work and started Something to Bark About Professional Pet Sitting. That was in 2010 and here I am, still living my dream.
